Zepto placed 2nd on the list behind Immutable.
The Australian tech sector is booming. According to the Tech Council of Australia, 2.3% of the world’s tech unicorns ($1Bn+ companies) have already been founded in Australia, even though our global share of GDP is just 1.6%. We are, as they say, punching above our weight.
In just a few decades, Australia has produced an impressive list of globally successful companies like Atlassian, Canva, Afterpay, SEEK, REA, Airwallex, Nearmap, SafetyCulture, Go1, Culture Amp, Employment Hero and more. Along the way, a number of those - Canva, Go1 and Employment Hero, for example - have also been recognised by LinkedIn on the Top Startups list. Other notable LinkedIn Top Startups have included Koala, Airtasker, Prospa, Mr Yum, Linktree, Brighte, Me&u and Swyftx.
It's an impressive line-up, to be sure. Little wonder then, that we are over the moon about joining that cohort of success stories in 2022 alongside the likes of Immutable, Reejig, our friends at Superhero, FrankieOne and Zoomo, Thinkerbell, Zeller and Stake.
To compile the list, LinkedIn looked at data across four pillars:
- Employee growth
- Job seeker interest
- Member engagement within the company and its employees
- How well these startups pulled talent from its flagship LinkedIn Top Companies list.
We are obsessed with payments and the impact that better payment solutions can have on customer experience and business bottom lines. We love making an impact, and to be recognised for that as we go from strength to strength on our mission to power the movement of value through the economy is extremely satisfying.
If the job all of us at Zepto do, and the impact Zepto is having on the businesses we support is the 'cake', then recognition like this is the icing. Maybe the sprinkles, too.
