Travel and tourism played a massive part in Zepto’s origin story, and we’re proud to support the industry through this partnership with Mint Payments.
At its core, Zepto is an enabler of merchants. Our real-time, data-driven, account-to-account payment solutions are designed to strategically enable merchants to transform their businesses and customer experience through superior, seamless payments.
Our merchant partners deploy our tailored solutions in all kinds of ways. But one thing that’s universally true is that we only succeed when our customers [and their customers] do.
That’s why we love telling partner stories like this so much. Even more so that it comes from the travel industry–a place that played an enormous part in Zepto’s origin story.
Zepto powers a range of travel industry payment solutions. In August 2021 when we were still known as Split Payments, we announced a partnership with Mint Payments. Mint’s platform is specifically designed for travel, with integrations to travel agents’ booking systems and mid office systems and provides a credit card acquiring facility. Mint has been appointed as an official payments partner to key travel industry stakeholders, including Helloworld, Flight Centre Independents, and iTravel.
Mint’s real-time MintEFT product is an integrated B2B payments and remittance solution that helps travel agents receive and process payments from their customers—and pay out to their suppliers in real time—all from a single platform.
Australia’s travel industry is springing back to life. Travel agents are consulting, advising and making travel arrangements once again as 18 months of pent-up demand is released from COVID lockdown. We’re delighted for them.
In further support of the recovery of the travel sector, Mint has entered into a new partnership with Qantas Business Rewards. The partnership will reward those agents who opt into the rewards program in a big way, with a triple-earn boost in place until 31 March 2022.
Where does Zepto fit in?
The Zepto platform processes the travel agent payments in-and-out of the MintEFT Portal in real time. Through Mint’s new rewards program with Qantas Business Rewards, Mint’s travel agent merchants will now be able to opt in to earn Qantas points for payments received from their customers, and also on funds paid out to their suppliers [airlines, hotels, tour companies, cruise lines and the like] through the Mint EFT Portal. Participating travel agents will be doubly rewarded.
“The offering will provide travel agents with a significant opportunity to earn points by simply conducting their normal business, with the ability to reward themselves, their staff, or even their customers depending how they choose to redeem or share the points.”
Andrew Teoh, Director APAC Operations at Mint Payments.
Mint estimates that, under the program, the average SME travel agency could stand to earn more than 1 million points per year across credit card and EFT transactions based on pre-COVID transaction volumes.
We succeed when our customers - and their customers - succeed. Empower and enable. Always.
